March 6, 2007

1. The minutes from the last meeting were read & approved with one correction (i.e., “Kieth Goudelock” seconded the nomination of Marvin Jin for President at the last annual meeting in 2006, instead of “Tom Payne” as written in the minutes).

2. The Treasurer’s Report was given by Tom Payne and approved by all present.

3. There was discussion about the increased dues as allowed by covenant (5% a year without a vote). The Board voted to do that at last meeting.

4. The announcement of Silver Chase was selected to receive Vision 2025 funding in the amount of $25,000. Paul Gee made the application on behalf of Silver Chase. The grant will go towards the entrances (replacing and improving the railroad tie walls & landscape at both entrances). We do not know when the funds will be received, so improvements will not take place until then.

5. Appreciation was expressed for all volunteers to the Association. A special presentation was given to Tom Payne for his long hours. He and Wanda received a $50 gift certificate to Johnny Carino’s restaurant.

6. Discussion about the fencing along 101st took place. It was decided that Paul Gee (as a friendly neighbor) would talk with the homeowner before the Association moves forward with addressing this problem legally or according to covenants.

7. A motion was made, seconded and approved to donate $100 to St. Bernard’s for the use of their facilities for our annual meetings.

8. Officer’s elections were held with the following results:
Secretary – Sarah Ford, re-elected
Treasurer – Tom Payne, re-elected
Vice President – Donna Goudelock, re-elected
President – Jim Lewis, nominated, motioned, seconded & elected

9. Additional announcements included: AT&T Fiber Optics station being constructed at the Jamestown entrance (behind signage & retaining wall); wild animals (i.e., coyotes); reminder about roofing changes that were implemented recently; reminder about hook-up to city sewers; mail problems; yard contractor for entrances; speeding drivers in the neighborhood & a reminder to slow down; covenant by-law copies available at the table for anyone needing copies; Block captains; Lady’s night announcement; and, high-pressure petroleum lines in the neighborhood will become obsolete.

10. Motion to adjourn, seconded and passed. Meeting adjourned.
