Old Business
a. Yard of the Month will start up again in April. Rae Lewis and her committee will also take pictures of the winning yard and post them on the Silver Chase website

b. There was a reminder of the Ladies Fellowship that meets periodically. Charlotte said the next meeting will be in April.

c. Silver Chase has 6 new owners this past year. Debbie Ritchie, 9801 S. Knoxville was introduced.

d. Speeders and Speed Bumps were, once again, discussed. The speed limit in the neighborhood is 25 mph. Many people speed from the south exit from Crown Pointe. It was also noted that the residents of Silver Chase may be the worst offenders. Jim Lewis has spoken with the motorcycle division at the Tulsa Police Dept. and they will be monitoring the neighborhood at 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. starting March 9th. Jim Lewis will continue talking to the police and will post his report on the Silver Chase Website.

e. Reminder that an application needs to go to the architectural committee before you put on a new roof. Most of the homes in Silver Chase have gotten new roofs due to the ice storm of 2007.

f. Paul Gee is working on getting some funding from the city to replace some of the railroad ties.

New Business
a. A presentation was made by Sutton Murray who is a project manager with Up With Trees. The city of Tulsa is trying to “regreen” the city after the ice storm of Dec. 2007. Up With Trees is giving trees away to homeowners for their front yards and also to neighborhood associations for their common areas. Up With Trees will come out and advise the homeowners of what tree would work best in their yard and will help them to plant the tree. Twenty people need to sign up for this so that the trees can be brought to the neighborhood and planted on the day. Applications need to be made to Jim Lewis by March 14, 2009 and all plantings will be completed by May. Jim Lewis will contact people by email and will send out applications to all the homeowners.

b. It was announced that a Dog Park at Hunters Park is due to open by the end of March.

c. There is a sink hole on 98th St. The city won’t fix it unless there are numerous reports. Jim Lewis asked for more people to contact the Mayors Action Line and report this.

d. There was some discussion on the fences along 101st St. Many are in need of repair. Jim Lewis will talk to the homeowners concerning this.

e. John Strauss mentioned how expensive his water bill was since he hooked up to the sewer lines. Was wondering if anyone else had experienced this.

Meeting adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
