The September 2011 Yard of the Month belongs to Brett and Brandy Freeman on the Knoxville cul-de-sac at 9812 S. Knoxville. Having done extensive remodel, both inside and outside last year, the home is the pick of the Silverchase Yard of the Month committee.
Once again, the beautiful, well kept yard of Rob and Emily Killam on 98th St. looks great even in intense August heat. Other than mowing and edging, Emily is the designer and primary laborer to plant all the annuals, shrubs and arrangements of seasonal accents on the front porch.
Keenan and Starre Barnard are proud of being selected as the July 2011 Yard of the Month. They take great effort to insure their home on N. Jamestown is well maintained and manicured.
Rae and Jim Lewis on Jamestown spend many hours sprucing and improving their yard and
flowers when not traveling.
Donna and Kieth Goudelock have lived in their Silver Chase home on S. Oswego since 1995. Donna is the designer and maintainer of the beautiful Pansies, Daffodils and ground cover. Donna a “green thumb.” They both work, so Donna does most of her work on week-ends. Donna walks nearly every day with her female Boston Bulldog, “Scooter”. Kieth is an avid motorcyclist and is the deep pockets.
The beautiful home of Dave and Sherry Swanson at the intersection of Jamestown and 99th St. Dave worked very hard to install new beds and improvements to the yard and Sherry directs the plants to be installed. Congratulations to them for being selected the Yard of the Month of September, 2010.
Nancy and Jerry Hudson’s home on 99th Place gets lots of attention from Nancy and looks great. With all their children married and living in the area, she has time to spend working on the flowers. The Hudson’s are great OSU Cowboy fans and attend lots of games.
Gary and Joan Cameron on the Knoxville cul-de-sac keep their yard up to the top in maintenance since they moved to Silver Chase in 2004. They spend time with family and friends.
Neat and tidy is the order for the yard of David and Beth Kruse at 10012 S. Louisville. David mows and works on the yard with Beth’s direction. All their children are now grown but frequent visits from their daughter and grandchild keep things moving for them. David and Beth moved to Silver Chase in 1985.
Carol Vandernoot and her dog George are doing a great job maintaining their home and yard on E. 99th Place since Ed passed away. Carol does lots of reading, playing cards and of course, feeding George.
